EGAF Elderly Care Foundation (EGAF) is a Malawian National, non-profit organization committed to improving the quality of life for older persons, particularly Women and those who are vulnerable, marginalized, and facing neglect or abuse. Founded on principles of compassion, dignity, and social justice, EGAF works to protect and empower older persons while supporting families and communities to provide better care.

EGAF actively advocates for the protection and promotion older persons right particularly older women. The organization raises awareness on issues such as abuse, neglect, property grabbing, and harmful cultural practices. Through community engagement, partnerships, and policy dialogue, EGAF works to ensure that older persons are respected, protected, and included in society.

EGAF runs a feeding program aimed at addressing hunger and malnutrition among older persons who lack reliable sources of food. The program provides regular meals and nutritional support, especially targeting those living alone, abandoned, or in extreme poverty.

Executive Director

The Executive Director is the chief executive officer responsible for providing strategic leadership, overseeing daily operations, mobilizing resources, and ensuring the organization fulfills its mission of improving the lives, dignity, health, and well-being of older persons particularly Women in Malawi. The Executive Director serves as the primary representative of the foundation and works closely with the Board of Directors, donors, government agencies, community leaders, staff, volunteers, and development partners. Executive Directors in nonprofit organizations typically lead strategy, fundraising, program implementation, financial oversight, stakeholder engagement, and organizational growth.
